ABSTRACT:
A 19 page research paper that discusses border control issues and current immigrant policy. This analysis takes a particular focus on the efficacy and effect of the current efforts of the government to address the problem of illegal Mexican immigration. First of all, the theoretical constructs that are related to social policy history and policymaking are examined and then issues associated with social welfare policy in regards to illegal Mexican immigration are considered before evaluating the current strength and weaknesses of the present policy. Based on this information recommendations are presented that provide logical remedies to this social policy problem. Bibliography lists 13 sources.
